Pool pump repair & replacement in Corinth, TX

The pump is the heart of the pool. When it stops, the water stops moving and problems show up fast. We’ll find out why and tell you your options.

Common pump problems

Won’t prime or loses prime: often an air leak on the suction side, a low water level, a clogged basket or a worn lid O-ring

Humming but not spinning: can point to a failed capacitor or a seized motor

Loud grinding or screeching: usually worn motor bearings Leaking under the pump: often a worn shaft seal, which can damage the motor if it’s ignored Trips the breaker: an electrical problem that needs to be checked before the pump runs again

Air bubbles in the pump basket or returns: air getting into the system somewhere

Repair or replace?

A lot of pump problems are repairable: seals, capacitors, lids, baskets and motors can often be replaced on their own. If the pump is old or the repair costs too close to a new one, we’ll tell you. We’ll lay out both options with prices so you can decide.

Variable-speed pumps

Many replacement pumps today are variable-speed. They can run at lower speeds for most of the day, which uses less electricity and runs more quietly than an older single-speed pump. If you’re replacing a pump anyway, we’ll explain whether one makes sense for your setup.

How it works

Tell us what the pump is doing. We’ll check it, explain what we find, and give you a quote. Nothing gets replaced until you approve it. Free estimates on repairs and renovations. $95 plus applicable sales tax if we need to diagnose an equipment problem.

While you wait: if the pump is running dry, leaking heavily or tripping the breaker, turn it off at the breaker until it’s checked.

QUESTIONS

Pump questions

How long does a pool pump last?

It varies a lot with use, water chemistry and how the pump is installed. Instead of guessing, we’ll look at yours and tell you whether repairing it makes sense.

Can you replace just the motor?

Often, yes. Motors, seals and capacitors can usually be replaced without changing the whole pump. We’ll quote what makes sense for your pump.

Do you install new pumps?

Yes. We install new pumps, including variable-speed models.

Which pump brands do you work on?

We work on Pentair, Jandy, Hayward, AquaStar, Jacuzzi and other major brands.

Will you do extra work without asking?

No. You get a quote before work begins, and we check with you before adding any work or charges.
