Pool filter cleaning in Corinth, TX
Your filter does the quiet work of keeping the water clear. When it clogs, circulation drops and problems start. We’ll take it apart and clean it properly.

Why the filter matters
Everything the pump pulls out of the pool passes through the filter: dirt, pollen, leaves that got past the baskets, dead algae. As the filter loads up, water moves through it more slowly. Less flow means less filtering and less sanitizer getting around the pool, and the water turns cloudy faster.
Signs your filter needs cleaning
The pressure gauge reads well above its normal clean reading (many pool pros use 8–10 psi over the clean pressure as a rule of thumb) Weaker flow coming out of the return jets
Cloudy water even though the chemistry looks right The pool just came back from being green and the filter caught all of it
How we clean a filter
A real filter clean means opening the filter, taking it apart and cleaning the media, not just a quick backwash. While it’s open we look at the parts for wear or damage and tell you if anything needs attention. We clean all three filter types: cartridge, DE and sand, including sand changes.
Cartridge, DE and sand filters
Most residential pools use one of three filter types. Cartridge filters trap dirt in pleated cartridges that get removed and cleaned. DE (diatomaceous earth) filters use grids coated with DE powder, which is replaced after cleaning. Sand filters are cleaned by backwashing, and the sand itself wears out over time. How often
It depends on the filter, the pool and the season. Heavy pollen, storms and green pool cleanups all load a filter faster. Most filters need a cleaning 2–3 times a year, per the manufacturer’s recommendation.
Weekly service customers: Filter cleans aren’t included in weekly service. They’re $150 per cleaning plus applicable sales tax, billed when done, and most filters need one 2–3 times a year per the manufacturer’s recommendation.
